His Excellency Honourable High Commissioner of Australia in The Madrasha

High Commissioner of Australia, Mr Tim Bolotnikoff along with representatives of The Asia Foundation and students and teachers of Naziria Naymia Mahmudia Madrassah, at the launching ceremony of a human rights project under the Australian Government’s Human Rights Grants Scheme (HRGS) 2011-12 On 26 April 2012, the acting High Commissioner of Australia, Mr Tim Bolotnikoff, launched the Asia Foundation’s project ‘Promoting Women’s Rights within an Islamic Framework through Madrassahs in Bangladesh’ at the Naziria Naymia Mahmudia Madrassah in Chittagong. Australia has provided Taka 8.19 million for the project under the Australian Government’s Human Rights Grants Scheme. Mr Bolotnikoff took the opportunity to talk to the students at the Naziria Naymia Mahmudia Madrassah about their learning experiences and expectations for the future.

Awareness Program on 'Children Rights (student's Views)'

“Connecting Classrooms” is an active organization where involve 4500 students and 650 Teachers - members in Chittagong According to last Cluster Meeting Discussion As an International coordinator & Team Leader Principal Mr Mohammad Mohiul Hoque organized an Awareness Program on 'Children Rights (student's Views)' in Naziria Naymia Mahmudia Madrasha for students of Class 06 to 10 (age average 10 to 14) About 250 students of Class six to class ten participated in this Program. The following are output- student’s views Subject: Children Rights Questions (i) who are Children? Students have written the Answer is- “ According to United Nations Memorandum age group 0-18 are called “Child”/ Children Questions (ii) what do you know about Children Rights? The different answers / student’s views are as follows: In 1959 at First United Nation take step of Children Rights Memorandum In 1979 at fist Celebrate Children Day in few Countries of the World In 1990 United Nations discuss with all Government chief of many Countries and they make Children rights Memorandum in this year. In this first Memorandum of UN about 16 Articles on Children rights included that time a17th March of every year Member countries of United Nations Celebrate World Children Day About 25% are Children of all Population of the Worlds In our country many organizations are working on children rights A famous TV series Broadcasting by BTV on Children Rights is SISIMPUR Bangladesh is now trying to stop Risking Child Labor in the Industries Children Rights: Class six (age Group-10) 01.
